stonk.gg is a free directory of the retail trading world — trading apps, Discord servers, and market creators — with one twist: when paid boosts launch, every fee gets pooled into shared advertising that benefits everyone listed, not just whoever paid.
The problem we're picking a fight with
Finding good trading tools is weirdly hard. Search for a stock screener and you get ten pages of ads, affiliate blogs ranked by commission size, and app stores that bury anything without a giant marketing budget. Finding a trading Discord that isn't secretly a signal shop? Even worse. Finding a creator who posts charts instead of lambo thumbnails? Good luck.
The stuff worth finding rarely has the budget to be found. The stuff with the budget is usually the stuff selling you something.
stonk.gg exists to flip that.
The three floors
Everything on the site is organized into three free-to-list directories, each reviewed by an actual human before anything goes live:
The Floor — stock market apps and software: charting, screeners, portfolio trackers, backtesters, tax tools. It also hosts the Classics, our editorial hall of fame of the tools retail already swears by. The Lounge — Discord servers where people actually talk markets. Analysis, watchlists, memes. Zero tolerance for paid-signal groups. The Feed — market creators on X, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Threads who inform and entertain without promising you returns.
Around the floors: The Brokerages, an unaffiliated index of the most popular brokers in the US, UK and Europe, and The Press — this blog — where we explain market concepts in plain English for people who are new and refuse to pretend otherwise.
The twist: one war chest
Here's the actual idea underneath everything.
Every small tool, server, and creator faces the same math: a solo ad budget of $5 or $50 buys a puff of clicks and then dies. Meanwhile the giants outbid everyone on every keyword, forever.
So instead of a thousand solo ad budgets, stonk.gg runs one shared one. When paid boost tiers launch, those fees pool into a collective war chest — targeted ads and organic reach pointed at one destination: the floors where every listing lives, free ones included. More listings means a bigger chest. A bigger chest means more visitors. More visitors means every listing gets seen more. It compounds.
You're not paying to exist in a directory. Existing is free. The chest is about being found — together. The full mechanics live on the how it works page.
What we refuse to list
The directory is only worth anything if it's clean, so the banned list is short and absolute:
Paid signal groups, "VIP calls," or any join-to-get-trades scheme Guaranteed returns, income promises, PnL-flex recruiting funnels Crypto, tokens, and anything with a coin attached Unlicensed money management or "send me your account" services Brokers as paid listings — money-touchers appear editorially only Vaporware — everything listed must be live and working
A human checks every submission against that list before approval, and approval can be revoked the day something drifts.
What it costs
Right now: nothing. We're in the genesis phase — listing on any floor is free while they fill, no card, no catch. Boost tiers arrive later for anyone who wants extra spotlight, and early free listings lose nothing when they do. The first hundred boosted listings will mint the Founding 100 badge, which can never be bought afterward.
The honest part
stonk.gg is new. The floors are filling, the war chest is warming up, and this is the first post on the Press. That's exactly why now is the interesting moment: being early is the entire thesis of trading culture — this is the site-listing version of it.
If you build a trading tool, run a server, or post market content: claim a free listing. If you're just here to explore, start on the Floor and poke around.
Nothing on stonk.gg is financial advice. We list and explain — what you trade is gloriously, terrifyingly up to you.
